AI tools for students is so common and burning out during school is so real, so I tested whether AI could actually make my life easier – not just sound smart. For one week, I got through school tasks and got to see what was genuinely useful versus overhyped. I started off with using AI to help me with:
- Homework
- Studying
- Organization
- Motivation
I kept hearing people talk about how “AI makes school easier” but no one ever explains how so. In the end, I realized what worked and what didn’t. Plus, I realized if it is useful at all. But all I can say is if in case, you’re overwhelmed, this is what I’d actually recommend. This isn’t a perfect-student story, it’s an honest breakdown of what helped, what didn’t, and what I’d actually recommend to other students.
Free AI tools for Students
If you haven’t already read, there is another post about free AI tools that help students study better and more efficiently. Not only that some of these websites help make schedule and so many to do lists; helping your life go more smoother. https://twinsparkle.com/free-ai-tools/
One of the biggest ways that this helped during this week was with staying organized and understanding schoolwork faster. Instead of staring at confusing instructions or long notes, I used it to break things down into simpler explanations and create quick summaries I could actually study from.

This saved time and made studying feel less stressful, especially on busy days. While it didn’t magically do the entire work, it definitely helped to feel more focused and less overwhelmed, which made a real difference in productivity.
Time management was something that was way more easier. AI helped a lot in that section. I used it to plan homework, prioritize assignments, and figure out how to split big projects into smaller, more manageable tasks. Instead of guessing how long something might take, this helped us create simple study schedules that actually felt realistic. Not too much work, that I felt completely burnt out. It had an effective plan that helped me to work sooner and avoid last minute stress, which is something we all struggle with during the school year.
Something after that week I started to ask ChatGPT to write me a weekly schedule, according to my plans. Guess what? It worked perfectly, AI tools such as these helps work my day more smoothly making me a schedule that works for my busy days.
Some prompts that could work would be asking ChatGPT to:
- “Make me a schedule that works perfectly for me, with scheduled breaks for each meal times and with free time.”
After stating this sentence, make sure to include your plans for the days. If you have a tutor or an activity at a specific time, make sure to include that as well.
Now, you have your own perfect schedule to work against the school stress.
Homework
We’ve all been there when at school the teacher shows us this easy problem. But when we get the homework assignment it’s extremely complicated, that’s why I used this to help me understand some of the problems. Now, it’s one thing to ask AI and just write down the answer, but it’s another when you take the work and really understand it. So, you can still do the same without it.

Studying
AI is extremely useful, when it comes to studying. It knows everything so it can answer about everything. Such as making flashcards, quizzing you and even acting as a live tutor for doubt-solving, organizing notes, and even identifying high-yield topics from past papers, making learning more efficient and engaging.
AI helps students to their personal benefits that teachers always can’t. A student might not know how to add but another one doesn’t know how to subtract. Teachers might not always help both. But AI does, it is tailored to individual needs. So, it’s extremely efficient.
I’ve learned that AI is extremely useful in this past one week. Making it very resourceful. I’ve also learned that I will be using it daily to learn the concepts that I don’t understand, so I learn better. As for organization, you can always use the prompt or use Monday to make your days more scheduled: https://monday.com/
