Machu Picchu
Machu Picchu is not very popular, but it is a very extraordinary site to see if you ever go to visit South America.
This place has earned its spot in exotic tourist spots because of how earth-quake resistance the entire site is and how this was what symbolized the Inca Empire during the 1450 AD. Due to the overcrowding of the site the government itself has required tourists to pre-plan the permits before trekking to the spot.
Researching further I have found that the Macchu Picchu was built during 1470 AD and abandoned during 1532, because of the Spanish conquest, and exposure to the new diseases.
